We're on the ground in Detroit for the return of the North American International Auto Show and its our first chance to see the Lincoln Star concept in the metal.
It's been a hot topic of discussion in our offices, mostly because the initial reaction to the concept left many of us cold. But in person, there's a lot more going on than we first noticed, and (we think) the new paint color really works.
Let us know it you agree, and if you're headed to the auto show, be sure to share your own photos below!

I really hope Lincoln brings back suicide doors for the EVs. I think it'd be a great way for them to stand out against the competition. The Star is such a good looking concept car!

I have a feeling it only be offered on a coach edition model.

Park is a convenience position that was added well after automakers were forced to agree on the shift layout by the worlds largest fleet buyer (aka the US government). The government did not pass a law dictating this but rather stating that they would only buy cars equipped the way they wanted. At one time, during the early years of automatics, reverse could be found on either the far left or the far right. There was no Park as the hand brake was universally used to hold a car in place whether it was automatic or manual. Furthermore, drivers would often leave a manual-equipped car in gear to hold it in place whereas this effect does not exist with an automatic. The Park position was added as a convenience as the average weight of cars grew and the amount of effort needed to properly set the brake rose as well. This was one of many features added to bring in more buyers (female)

This is the only spot where we wash our autos. All of the equipment is in fine operating order, especially the vacuum cleaners and mat washer. Customer service is excellent. i only have one little: gripe the windshields aren't particularly clean. But then, the overall experience was still good. Definitely returning!
